Here you will find some of our most frequently asked questions.
Do we need to bring our own bags or containers for picking?
No all picking must be done in our containers. No backpacks or large pocketsbooks are allows. Anyone caught picking items that are not allowed will be charge a fee determined by us. Extra apples picked that do not fit in the bag will be charged at $ 1.99/lb.
Do you charge an entrance fee?
No we do not charge an entrance fee, however we require that you stay within the limitations set on the number of people that are allowed to enter with each bag purchase. Please refer to our u-pick section.
Do you use pesticides or are you organic?
No we are not a certified organic orchard or farm and yes we do use sprays on our apples. However, many of the sprays, etc., being used are actually certified for organic use and are things like fish oils, calcium, lime, but on occasion other sprays are used but everything is approved by the USDA for farming and use on produce. Many of the things are extremely expensive sometimes $ 1,000.00 or more per application. So we try to use as little as possible.
Can we bring our dog?
We do allow dogs in the orchards (hey there are deer and coyotes in the orchard) but we do ask that you keep them on a leash and keep them away from the sheep and goats. We also ask that you pick up after them if you know what I mean.
