Apples - ripe and ready for you to pick!!!

Farmstand life

Each year come the middle of August the farm stand opens for business.  The weekend after Labor day - we open for the U-Pick Apple season.

We are open for apple picking from then until sometime in October.  The season can vary from year to year - so it is up to Mother Nature when we finish.

U-Pick Apple hours are Monday thru Friday 1pm until 5pm, and on the weekends from 10am until 4pm.  The farmstand stays open an hour after apple picking ends each day.

In addition to apple picking we also grow our own peaches and pears, along with our own/native produce such as tomatoes, cukes, squash and zucchini, corn, green beans, etc...   We do not offer U-Pick Peaches or Pears however as the trees are too delicate and easily damaged.

In addition to farming fruits and vegetables we also raise our own sheep.  They are available for sale throughout the year.  We also have several Tennessee fainting goats and raise our own chicken for their eggs which are for sale at the farmstand.   The animals are all free range and given no growth hormones or other chemicals given to enhance their growth.

In the Farmstand

We carry our own produce as well as homemade frozen pies.  We have Apple, Apple Cranberry, Dutch Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach, Custard, Pumpkin, Mince, Fruit of the Forest, Chocolate Creme, Boston Creme, Lemon Meringue, and Pecan.

In season we also carry fresh apple cider.  Due to the heavy state regulations regarding the production of cider we do not make it ourselves.  However our apples do go into it's production.   Our cider is light pasturized - not heat pasturized so all the apple goodness remains and is not cooked out.

During apple picking, on the weekends, we  also offer homemade apple fritters, popcorn, hot dogs, hot coffee or hot chocolate, soda or water, nachos,  and candy or caramel apples.

You will also find pumpkins of all sizes and types, gourds, and other fall decorations including cornstalks and hay bales.  We grow only the finest Belgian Mums.  Belgian Mums are great because they require no pinching or picking back to maintain their shape.
